Murray Pest Control is a Certified Sentricon Specialist®
This certification is only awarded to pest control companies that complete Corteva Agriscience’s intensive training program. It cannot be purchased — it must be earned. Murray Pest Control is one of a select few companies in central and western Oklahoma authorized to install and service the Sentricon® System. Orkin and Terminix do not offer Sentricon® — they use their own proprietary systems.

The Sentricon® System: How It Works (Official)
Why Sentricon® Beats Traditional Liquid Treatments
💯 Colony Elimination
Liquid barriers kill termites that cross them — but the colony survives and finds gaps. Sentricon® eliminates the colony at the source by targeting reproductive biology. No colony, no problem.
⚡ Always Active™
Recruit® HD bait is in every station from day one — not just when we visit. Older systems used monitoring-only stations with no active bait until termites were found. Always Active™ means protection starts immediately after installation.
🌿 No Drilling. No Chemicals in Soil.
Traditional treatments require drilling into your slab or foundation and injecting hundreds of gallons of termiticide into the soil. Sentricon® requires no drilling, no soil injection, and no chemical barrier that can break down or wash away.
💐 Safe for People, Pets & Planet
The active ingredient (noviflumuron) affects only the molting process in termites and similar insects. Zero toxicity to humans, pets, birds, or plants. No tenting, no evacuation, no waiting period after installation.
🏛 Protects Landmark Structures
The Sentricon® System is trusted to protect the White House, the Statue of Liberty, and Independence Hall. It’s the #1 brand in termite protection for a reason — now protecting Oklahoma homes through Murray Pest Control.
📈 25+ Years of Proven Performance
Sentricon® has been protecting structures for over 25 years and is backed by more than 60 independent scientific studies. It is the most researched termite control product on the market.

Why Sentricon® Is Especially Important for Oklahoma Homes
Oklahoma’s red clay soils hold moisture exceptionally well — creating near-ideal conditions for subterranean termites year-round. Central and western Oklahoma, from Stillwater and Edmond down to Norman and Shawnee, has significant termite pressure. Subterranean termites are active even in winter in Oklahoma’s mild climate, foraging continuously and capable of causing thousands of dollars in structural damage before any visible signs appear.
Jake Murray, Murray Pest Control’s owner, holds a B.S. in Entomology from Oklahoma State University — OSU has some of the most respected entomology research in the country, with deep expertise in Oklahoma’s specific pest pressures. Jake chose Sentricon® not because it was the easiest option, but because the science supports it as the superior termite control solution for Oklahoma’s conditions.
Sentricon® — Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Sentricon® System?
Sentricon® is a termite baiting system developed by Corteva Agriscience that eliminates entire termite colonies — not just the termites you can see. Green bait stations are installed around your home’s foundation. Termites find the bait, feed on it, and carry it back to the colony. The active ingredient disrupts the termites’ molting process, eventually eliminating the colony entirely.
How is Sentricon® different from liquid termite treatments?
Liquid termite treatments (termiticide barriers) create a chemical zone around your foundation that kills termites crossing it — but the colony often survives and finds gaps. Sentricon® goes further: it eliminates the colony at the source by targeting the queen and the reproductive system. It also requires no drilling into your slab and leaves no chemical residue in soil.
What is Always Active™ technology?
Always Active™ means the Recruit® HD termite bait is in the stations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — from the moment installation is complete. Older baiting systems used monitoring-only stations with no bait until termites were detected. With Always Active™, protection begins immediately.
Is Sentricon® safe for my family and pets?
Yes. The active ingredient in Sentricon® (noviflumuron) affects the molting process specific to termites and similar insects. It has no known harmful effects on people, pets, birds, or plants. No chemical is injected into the soil, no tenting is required, and there is no need to vacate your home during or after installation.
How long does Sentricon® protection last?
Sentricon® provides continuous, ongoing protection as long as you maintain your service agreement. Murray Pest Control monitors and services your stations regularly to ensure bait is present and effective. The Sentricon® system has protected structures for over 25 years.
What does a Sentricon® installation look like?
Our Certified Sentricon Specialist® installs green bait stations spaced strategically around the perimeter of your home, set flush with the ground. They’re unobtrusive — most homeowners don’t notice them after installation. Each station contains Recruit® HD bait from day one. We return on a scheduled basis to inspect and service every station.
